Peer Helper Class Holds a Community Garage Sale

In late April, a group of seventh grade students from Warrensburg Middle School in Missouri held a fundraiser for one of their classmates, Peter Voskovitch. The students were part of Ms. Ashlee Cochran’s Peer Helper class. The Peer Helpers collected, organized and ran a community garage sale with proceeds to benefit Families of SMA, and successfully raised $725.07!

Peter Voskovitch, pictured left with another student, has SMA Type 3 and is a member of this Peer Helper class. Peter’s classmates have been very supportive of him and particularly this cause. Peter’s family feel very proud of this group of kids, the future looks bright. We at Families of SMA are very proud of this group of students as well. Thank you for all that you do!
