Over 400 people come together to raise funds and work towards a cure
The 3rd Annual Cure SMA: Run, Walk-N-Roll was a huge success! The fundraising event was held on May 8, 2010 in Stephenville, Texas in honor of Seth Gilley to benefit Families of SMA. The event was kicked off with a two mile fun run followed by live music from The Cody Gill Band, bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, popcorn, tatoos and huge silent auction. Seth’s GG and Great Aunt Missy raffled beautiful quilts. Other fundraising booths included candy grab bags, button making booth, and Savanna’s Sno-Cones. The local fire station brought a fire truck with Sparky the Fire Dog. The fire truck sounded its horn at the starting line and later the firemen handed out hats and stickers to the kids.
The fundraiser concluded with a delicious hamburger meal served to ALL! More than 400 people participated, 4 SMA families attended, and $17,950 was raised for FSMA!!! Everyone had so much fun, and we continue to be amazed by the support of our community. We are so thankful to Friends and Family of Seth Gilley for all the hard work that went into making the event so successful!
