Families of SMA – Pennsylvania Chapter Hosts Local Walk-n-Roll Raising over $90,000 in Support of SMA

Families and friends from all over came together in support of finding a treatment and a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy

PA Chapter Officers and friends at the 2010 Walk-n-RollOn May 16, 2010, the Families of SMA – Pennsylvania Chapter hosted its 7th Annual Walk-n-Roll to Cure SMA!  Over 700 people joined our effort to cure this horrendous disease while enjoying games, jugglers, raffles, a butterfly release, and a leisurely stroll along Boathouse Row in Philadelphia, PA. Channel 6 Anchor Walter Perez returned as the Chapter’s Honorary Emcee, inspiring the crowd to keep hope alive as we seek a cure. Along the walk route, signs were placed, displaying photos of our children, as well as sponsor logos and facts about the disease.  Thanks to the generosity of so many people, over $90,000 was raised for SMA research from corporate sponsors and individual donors alike!
