10th Annual New England Chapter Cure SMA Walk-n-Roll Hits Fundraising Milestone, Raising Over $100,000 in Support of Families of SMA

Families from all over the New England area came Together once Again in Support of Finding a Treatment and a Cure for SMA

Carolyn and KatieThe 10th Annual New England Chapter Cure SMA Walk-n-Roll was held on Saturday, May 15.  “Team Murphy” in memory of Cianan and Cecilia, the Norton family’s “Goin for Owen” and the Farrell family’s “Team Aileen” hosted this fun family event at scenic Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts.  Families came from every state of New England to represent their loved ones affected by SMA.  Over 750 people participated, and together the New England Chapter of FSMA raised over $100,000.

Creative fundraising included the Johnson’s house party for the “Walking for William” team and Mikaela Chicoine’s key chain sales.  The weather was beautiful, the raffle was popular, and the children enjoyed games, face-painting, a visit from the Bruins’ mascot Blades, and a demonstration of reptiles by Xtreme Animals.
