Even a Damp Morning Didn’t Stop Our SMA Family and Friends from Supporting their Loved Ones

Each year the Michigan Chapter of Families of SMA hosts their 5K Run, Walk-n-Roll, and it keeps getting better and better.  Even with a chance of rain, the chapter had over 200 people come out and participate in this year’s event, and lucky for them the rain held off.  There were activities for both parents and kids, with awards for top runners, raffle items, face painting and a special kids run where they each received a medal for their accomplishment.  The DJ kept the energy going as people registered and ran.

A huge thank you goes out to each participant and SMA family who attended, and a special thank you to the Schafer and Armbrustmacher families for organizing this year’s event.  Through all of your amazing support, this year’s Michigan Chapter 5K Run, Walk-n-Roll raised over $23,000 for FSMA.
