Local Fundraiser Brings Families Together in Support of FSMA

On Tuesday, May 18^th, Max & Erma’s Restaurant at Hamburg Pavilion in Lexington, KY hosted a Families of SMA night. All diners had to do was give a coupon to their server and then 20% of their sale would go to FSMA. The grand total of sales generated from our FUNdraiser, with flyers attached, as $1509.20. At 20%, that’s a check for $301.84. We used this as an event to not only help raise funds for SMA research, but to also spread the word about our upcoming 4th Annual Kentucky Walk-n-Roll on Saturday, August 14^th at Keeneland Race Course. This was the first time that the Kentucky members of the OKI chapter have organized the event at Max & Erma’s and this will be the first year we are including a 5K run as part of our walk.
