Families Come out to March and Raise Awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy

The Greater New York Chapter of Families of SMA was proud to have been chosen as the Local Charity recipient of the Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Chapter members participated in many events that were sponsored by the Parade Committee. The Chapter was then presented with a $20,000 check which was raised from donations. The parade was attended by over 14,000 people, so not only did we receive a sizeable donation, but also a great deal of SMA awareness was raised.
